I suffer from major depressive disorder. When I am depressed, I socially withdraw from those around him and struggle to maintain friendships. I lost a close friend unexpectedly a few years ago, and their death prevented me from getting close with people. Overall, I have lacked motivation and interest in meeting people, yet I feel lonely and distraught often.
